Our design sheets have prompted many questions asking the number of shapes required to make a quilt. The layout diagrams below can be used to select the visual effect you prefer, and determine the approximate number of shapes needed to make the quilt.
The layouts show the different visual effect of using different size shapes relative to the size of the whole quilt. The rectangles in the layout below represent the finished edges of the quilt. The white shape represents the centre of the layout.
